I popped over to Uktrainsim and found these:

Image

These are representations of the Amfleet1 passenger cars, in coach and cafe versions, in the "phase 3" paint scheme. There are options for working and non working steps, for use at low or high platforms.

Version 2 adds:
Autonumbers
Improved textures
Extra detailing
Passengers
Normal mapped ribs.
Note that reskins of my earlier Railsimulator version of these cars will not work with this version without modification.

Good to know, although I think we'll get some from RS.com with the NEC.

I hope someone can repost them over here. I already said my piece about UKTrainSim so I will not repeat it.

I have to wait in line. I'm 39 of 50. I hope someone can repaint them into PH-IV, PH-IVB and the Acela Schemes.

Dave has loaded his other US releases up here, I'm sure he'll get round to it eventually. I was going to post something about this earlier but I thought he might like to do it himself. They are very shiny indeed, sadly the subject matter won't really let you do anything about that moire effect.

I will re-repaint them starting tonight. Should be simple. Love painting tubes.

You're welcome. It will be a fun trip back in time. His orignal Amfleets were the first repaints I ever released. I should be able to do a better job over a year later. *!lol!*

You always do a great job, thats why so many ppl enjoy your work including me. If you or anyone knows how to work with sounds I have some great amfleet/Superliner Sounds for these cars.

Thanks, I try. Kali here is also (better than me imo) great at repainting. Kind of cool actually to see him get into American stuff.

As far as the sounds go.. Are they dirty or clean sounds?

Ie: Is it crisp sound of just the cars going by at variable speeds or can you hear police cars, garbage trucks and other dirty noise in the background?

I'll PM them to you and you be the judge. The background noise has been cut out. I'm trying to find some that have wagon hits.

Yeah.. That is pretty clean audio. I'm no audio guru but have an idea how to fast track myself to possibly make these usable on the Amfleets. Editing the loop seamless shouldn't be a problem. Just the bin work.I can at least try. Worst case scenario is I fail. Nothing lost, nothing gained.. :)

Exactly. I'll still have to do a few more I'll send them to you so you can give them a whirl. Thanks again!

To bad these cars still don't have a high quality Interior view. Maybe if I can contact David He'll maybe invest some time into them than those sounds would be put to great use.

Dave kinda works in cycles, so I think that's it for these for a while ( I suspect there might be an updated FP45 in the near future ). I really doubt he'd have a problem with anyone making a passenger view though.

Bill, thanks for the compliment :). Getting into US stuff is entirely Dick Cowen's fault for building that Shay, although I have childhood memories of northern NY/southern Canada and lots of rail travel too.

I would just nick the proxyxml from the wagon sounds and substitute the new samples in there, myself... and turn the chance of wheelflats down! actually I might do that for the wagon pack anyway.
