Programs that allow painting on 3D models?

In case the title wasn't clear, I'm wondering if a program exists that would allow paint to be applied to a blender model. It would make repainting much easier in certain cases.

You don’t need another program. Blender has this feature built in and it works great. I like to use it to weather a model by spraying dirt directly onto the 3D model. Read more here:
