Awesome, more American content, they've gotten soooo much better at it! Looking forward to it.

On that positive note.

Hmmm, sorry, but, I'm not too excited, and even though I'm a Brit why hasn't RSDerek considered something else, an Alco, for example, or, another Switcher, he likes creating little shunting locomotives.

Cheerz. ex-railwayman.

I guess like most employees Derek has to do what he's told or allowed to do.
RS.com have probably done some research (like the polls or wish lists we regularly see) and have decided this loco is the next most popular (and therefor the one most likely to recoup the cost of development in sales of the finished pack).
Cheers
Gordon

In my opinion this loco is a good addition for the game and brings some more variety to the US side.
Anyway I really want some modern US passenger stock in the future.
So I hope their next US loco will be Amtrak Genesis together with Superliners.

I tend to lean towards the railwayman's thinking....also throw in a "UBoat" to the list. I guess good quality material to work with is one of the biggest issues as well as the order of priority.
In the meantime I still have half of a SW1500....can't see a cab anywhere down the road that was originally promised with the first release of Project Platform.

So on my note....

cool! i wonder what the cab interior will look like for the locomotives? (specificaly CN and NS because the dash-9 addons had different cabs than the BNSF cabs.)

I think all SD70ACE and M-2 cabs are similar (I don't know). The also included SD70Mac has the levers on the dashboard (in reality).
