I'm creating a new folder for each different loco, placing all the raw .PSD files from the previous locomotive paint job in it, and repainting and renaming them (some of them) for the new loco livery.
And a "thank you" for using it. It's not the "end-all-be-all" of tutorials, but hopefully it will help you on your way.
BTW, it's not finished. i just wrote an addnendum concerning Input Mappers and Cab Lights. I also still have the Packaging/Testing/Distributing section to do. I'll get those in probably later this month when i'm back on night shift.
Today I got the Consolidation working as a driveable locomotive, complete with animated wheels and motion It doesn't have any sounds or particle emitters yet, or a cab interior, or even a tender, but it's getting there!
Looking forward to reskinning your consolidation for Southern Railway. I have a dream of modeling the Southern Ry. line from Selma, AL, to Birmingham. My dad played on the steam locos in the Selma shop yard as a child. He had awesome stories of steam power and railroading in the 30's.
Don't you love it when your hard drive fails? Sigh, I had my Truck Wheelbase done. Good thing I have a second hard drive.

I defiantly like how he released them. If most of the 3rd party creators released some items like that we'd have an even better sim on our hands. Long live freeware-donationware.
Gives me a good bit for inspiration to do my buildings and then very soon get a building into the game that will be 150 stories high.
When I get some money in I'm defiantly going to leave a donation.

Unfortunately I won't have as much time to do modeling as I did over the summer. I have to go to Techinical College for pretty much all week except Saturday and Sunday.
