Wow... by "get back to later" I thought you meant next WEEK! lol !*brav*! Is great to see that in blue and gold, though that blue looks too too pure in my mind. Back in those days, the blue on these had a smokey component to it.... something toward a grayish blue... sort of like a faint campfire smoke but a tad darker... almost hazy as if you could strip it off you'd find the blue you have there hiding underneath. They looked grayer on the shady side, bluer on the sunny side.

4 dirty, 3 clean.. Enough? Or we need more road numbers?

5947
6437
6444
6520
6525
6576
6664

Speak now or forever hold your peace.

I'm also just doing B&O for these.. Entirely too confusing to keep track of all these units as it is without throwing a new name in the mix. ;)

Yep, and every single one of those will become magically clean and it will just be a 7 pack of clean units.

There is a reason no one does legitimate coal dust dirty units, Railworks lighting is atrocious and the high detail shadows are light vacuums.

Now you see me.

Now you don't

So absolutely stupid..

Unfortunate, those dirty units look great.

It is, but these have to be playable for everyone, so the dirt is going.. Turning off high detail shadows fixes it, but that's a heck of a sacrifice just for a train to look right on the unlit side. C&O unit also.. It was starting to be un-fun trying to dodge the portable black hole issue. So I'm deleting the dirt.

I hear you Bill.....and I find myself turning off the high detail more these days....to compensate for the ever increasing detail, shadows and that " dark side ".
Truly sad to see your work not getting the full appreciation it deserves....RS.com needs to look at the lighting issue very closely and do something with it. Either soften the light absorbsion and penetration and / or having the availability of a slider or Low, Medium and High settings so folks can adjust to suit their needs, tastes, computer capabilities.

Excellent work just the same, just great stuff....... !!*ok*!!

That's too bad because you did a really great job on those dirty units. I hate to see hard work like that go to waste.

I've been having lighting problems ever since I started using high-detail shadows, so I'm turning mine off. As for unit numbers, I'll be running these in strings of 5-7 on the head of coal trains.
