Tori. Reading their magizine for the past 15 years, when I run your route, I actually feel like I've been there.
Articles of various towns along the pike and their history is very intresting. A great slice of American history.

I wish I had subscribed to those years ago. Much of the most useful info from the C&O archives has appeared in those mags. I'd like to hit you up for any info you might know on RR service to the industries of Covington. There were a LOT of factories once (still quite a few) but I don't know what all was shipped in/out of where. That's what COHS wanted the $$$ to research.

While a WM unit would be nice. To bad a low-nose unit didn't make it into the pack. And the High Hood GP9's the WM did get from the C&O, had a less then stealer paint scheme:

I know the step walls are not orange.. Just where I left off. :)

Question.. Chessie Cat.. What's the deal.. Some have no Chessie Cat on the nose, some do, some on the rear, some none of the rear.. Some none at all.. Do any have both front and back? Sort of confusing.

Thanks guys. Mostly took the weekend off from painting but did play in dirt a little today.

What do you guys think of that weathering? The more I look at it, the more I don't like it. Looks great in Photoshop but once the games lighting hits it, it is thrown off.

It looks to me like it's been working up in the coal mine hollers. !!*ok*!! Perhaps add some of that black grundge to the trucks, too.

Is it possible to do a repaint with a couple of the service doors open? I don't know why, but that was not an uncommon sight around here; saw one that even had all the doors off. Has anyone ever tried this?

Started the ground work for the second loco in this next pack.. Moving away from C&O temporarily. Will get to the throwbacks though. :) I will probably end up doing those lines again.. Too thick.. So hard to gauge size.. *!rolleyes!*

Awesome the Winchester and Western. I have a video of their operations in and around Gore, VA hauling sand. One of my favorite little shortlines. !!*ok*!! And will probably be the route if I ever decide to make one.

Yeah, they're a good little shortline.. They are here in Jersey too.

Has anyone done any GATX gondolas? They are a rail equipment leasing company and pretty common place around here. Was thinking of doing a few of these also in this pack. Getting ahead of myself but would be nice to have some rollingstock to go along with the motive power that made sense. :)

Are those the same gondolas as what is offered in the RWA pack?
