"Fresh from the paint shop!! Work in progress on the SD70MAC, in BNSF Executive livery. It's nearly there, but there are many hours' work to do yet..."

It looks great. !*brav*! I especially like the weathering. !*salute*!

Just placed the loco down in the Castle Rock route to see how it sat on the tracks.
I have really enjoyed making this loco and look forward to my next one.

I see the LCD screens look like they're updated, are they more functional? What else is different from the first volume? Sounds updated?

It looks great, but I'm just trying to convince myself to buy the "same" locomotive again.

Your first post. Welcome! !*cheers*!

The sounds are identical, the displays are now the same as in the Dash9 pack, this means they show your reverser status, the power and brake (I think).
I think you can't talk about the same engine because the BNSF SD70ACEs come with nose headlights and as a normal variant and as a Whispercab variant.
Also the CN SD70M-2 has a different Canadian light arrangemant: additional red lights

And what makes it perfect in my opinion is the included BNSF 3-bay Hopper.
!*salute*!

I now feel conned for buying the first one. I didn't think it was the usual "full" package to begin with, but then to market it as if "here USA, here's your new diesel for this year"... then a few weeks later announce a whole new iteration of what is essentially the same thing with some lights and grills changed/moved... THEN I see that the BNSF skin for the SD70Ace is in the SD70Mac package... just because a light and some texturing is different... and this comes with extra rolling stock... WTF!!!!!!
Bottom line, this marketing gimmick (yes, it is that obvious to me, Paul) angles to make me pay $38 for what should have cost $24. I feel burned. I get really perturbed with companies that insult my intelligence! An addon to an addon??! And the addon costs as much as the addon??! Good thing my hard-azed 43 year railroader daddy isn't here to tell us what he thinks of B.S. like that!

Yea, I know, I should write this to RSC instead of here but they'll be quicker to see it here and besides it won't make one bit difference in the end anyway. This just makes me feel like B--------------------ing. Can anyone tell me why I am finding this computer game product to be one of the most confounding and frustrating retail products I have shopped for since I bought my last CAR?!! !*hp*! Every week it's SOMETHING with this game! Said another way, since when did shopping for games become a mission of cunning, espionage, and risk??!! I didn't sign up to play spy or soldier! Is this what the train simulation game market is supposed to be like? Really? Why? *!rolleyes!*

And now here I am bashing RSC... something I strive not to do. Sighhhhhhhhh,,,,,,,....... it makes me tired. Time to go back into seclusion and stop reading the forums and the hyped up promos (and put my money away) for a few months.

Waiting for the generosity of the freelance repainters to save me now,
Tori
