Great work. I think this is an excellent locomotive. I am very pleased with it. I just wish there wasn't so much negativity about it. It's sad to see the RW team work so hard on something and then it just gets beaten down by people. So what if its not perfect. This is just a simulation. So what if a few things are off. I think it was very well done and I want to thank the RW team for their hard work. They didn't have to make this engine at all, but they did and I think people should be more thankful for that. Well I'm off to climb Cajon Pass in my new SD70. Thanks again RW.

Yeah. I know that, but if you look again on the engine in game the discrepancy is enormous and it just doesn't look good.
And I'm a fanatic when it comes to symmetry. :D

For the numberboards: I think this should be fixed definitely.

And to all the ctictic crtics: I love the dlc very much and I just try to do constructive critic to improve the model because I paid a lot for
only two livreries whereas the class 170 got more than 5 for the same price, I think. !*salute*!

EDIT: And this is a major fault! No gangway if you look through the rearwindow on both engines! *!sad!* !*hp*!

This would be a attractive repaint for someone to do. I saw it the other day just West of Geneva Illinois. !!*ok*!!

I was just wondering if anyone with the SD70 has a weird sounding horn. Mine doesn't sound like the video. Wasn't sure if that was just my game or not.

Thanks in advance.

The horn for me is also awesome. Sounds like "get the F out of my way!" Not a whimpy SD40 horn. **!!2cents!!**

I did notice the missing gang plank looking out the back window. I drive out of the cab 90% of the time so didn't see it right away. Otherwise, this is one awesome, powerful engine. I love it! !!*ok*!!

actually i listend to it carefully and it sounds like the sound of the sd40 sander is cutting in with the horn.
not saying that is actually what it is but that is what i think it sounds like.
also there is no sound for the sander even when you are outside beside the trucks.

does anybody also think this loco seems to have more realistic pulling power that other locos?

I've heard a lot of K5LA's that sound just like the one in game. Don't know if the in game one is a K5LA or K5LLA though. All depends how and when they are recorded. A K5LA on a train doing 80MPH will sound different than the same horn being blown at 15 MPH. Dirt build up etc can change the tone and pitch of horn also.

I like the one in game, and it's far superior to the rest of the American horns we've had.

I didn't think of it like that. But it does sound like that. Maybe something is wrong with the files and when you run the horn the sanders sound goes off too. Just a guess, but it could explain why there is no sander sounds.

So far, to me, this loco is the most powerful yet. It's a beast. I ran a free roam scenario earlier with one engine and 60 cars and it was like a rocket. I must have busted the speed limit 20 times, and that was at 12 to 25% power. !!*ok*!!

What I recently noticed: The Dash 9 is smaller than the SD70ACE in length and height.
I always thought the Dash 9 was bigger. !*don-know!*
But according to the datasheets that I've found the Dash 9 should be one feet taller than the SD70 (SD70 is longer).
So ingame it is not so.
Can you help please and tell me if I just have the wrong data or if it's just an illusion that the SD70 is taller ingame.
Thanks !*salute*!

You know, it's interesting that you guys point out that there are a certain number of rivets on a certain part of these locomotives.

But I find it simply amazing that you all don't scream about the pulling power being way off. Or can a single SD70ACe pull 60 loaded cars over Cajon pass by itself?

Or that the dynamic brake is still not anywhere near accurate. Or that the Dash 9 package from Steam still has no train brake function. Aren't these the bigger issues with this "simulator"? But we are SO worried that the logo on the front isn't center correctly. My God, has the whole world gone insane or is it just me?
