Flashing Ditch Lights via LUA Scripting

Hello all,

I've been searching for a couple weeks now to figure out how to script flashing ditch lights onto an engine, but with little to no avail. I'm trying to get them to flash not only when the switch is set to the "flash" setting, but also when the horn is blown (which would require the changing of one control value through the modification of another). If anyone has any pointers or has done this themself before, any assistance would be appreciated.
