Let's Get the Ball Rolling...

I have wanted this car in the game for a long time and finally tried my luck with the older Outside-Braced boxcar from G-Trax.

I'm rather pleased with results. I chose to go with the red lettering which I found on some model railroad sites but I'll also do a more-authentic/traditional black-lettered version as well.

I plan to do three different version, as I've discovered several photographs on the Ball boxcars and they are each slightly different.

Second one more or less done.

These little projects are my 'quickie' distractions form bigger projects. Gives my mind a chance to relax for a bit before tackling the harder repaint projects.
