GP9 Numberboard question

Unread postby DrewG » Tue Mar 03, 2015 6:56 pm

I'm trying to change the number board from black to white and give it a static number instead of it being auto numbered. Does anyone know how to do this or if it's possibile? Also how do I remove the auto numbering, I just painted on the number as the railway only has one of these in this paint scheme. As you can see the number I painted on is under the auto numbering. This is my first repaint so I still am learning what to do.

In the cab texture file near the top you will see four identical rectangles, inside of the numberboard brackets. These are the numberboards. In your case you can make them black and then write the desired number on them and it will show up on the engine. Note that the numbers for the top two must be inverted or else they will appear backwards in the game. The only downside to static number boards is that when the headlights are on the numberboards will light up but the space will just be solid light.

In order to remove the numbering you can do a few things: go into the numbering.dcsv file and erase all the locomotive numbers (make sure you save the .dcsv file and drag it into the serz file) or you can go into the locomotive's bin file and erase the file directory for numbering.

!*YAAA*! That worked! The pure white is kinda annoying but I can live with that. One last question, how do I get the inside view to look like the outside repaint, when I look out it is the original paint and not the one I made?

What texture is that? The CabView folder I copied only has the .geopcdx file.

You don't have to repaint the textures. Just copy and paste them.

That's all you need. Open your engine bin of the repaint loco you created. Find this line. "<InteriorGeometryID d:type="cDeltaString">RSC\GP9Pack01\RailVehicles\Diesel\GP9\Erie\CabView\[00]gp9_cab</InteriorGeometryID>"
I'm using my Erie as an example so your repaint Won't say Erie you have to substitute where your repaint is. Got it? *!!wink!!*
Point the InteriorGeometryID to your cabview GeoPcDx. Simple? Yes? No? Need help? *!lol!*
