Has anyone made improvements to these brakes?

I did this a few years back. I had wanted to repaint this unit so I used Searchlights script and sounds from their sound pack which provided better braking and exhaust effects but took a bit of tinkering to work. The same can be done with the GP40-2 using the their other EMD sound pack but requires some tinkering as well. I also did SW1500s and SD9s with these sound packs years ago and can be seen in my route screen shots. Each had minor warts, items that I couldn't make work such as opening doors and windows on the Nline GP38, step lights on the SW1500 and also required some creative aliasing, especially with the SD9 from what I remember. I have since moved onto more up to date equipment with offerings by Searchlight Simulations and others in recent years. You can pretty much modify anything in this sim provided you understand how the Bin file structure works which applies to object sizing, sounds, physics and weather as well. One of my on and off projects is applying a Searchlight SD40-2 Script to the RRMods GP40-2, a more complex mod in an attempt to get a third type of unit to work with the AC4400 and SD40-2. I have partially succeeded but not to a degree that I am happy with the end result, warts again with some items, so the units are stuck as yard power only with their native scripts for now. I ditched my old modified DTG stuff except for the paint templates a few years back when I gave my last system to my son, otherwise I would be posting the bin files for folks to try their own modifications.
