I have a question for anyone who know more than me about the two folders -- Contents and Assets. I just noticed after right-click both folders in Properties that show me in Read-only (Only applies to files in folder) . Are those files suppose to be Read-only or not? I see that the black box fill in between Attributes and Read-only (Only applies to files in folder). I believe that this should not have the files in Read-only. If it is then what should I do to apply to both folders to change the box in white with no black fill in.

Mine says the same thing and I have no problems making changes inside these folders or for that matter adding or subtracting things from them. Perhaps someone a little more of a geek can explain it but it shouldn't be off any concern I don't believe.

You can always change all files to read/write using RW or TS tools

Mine are read-only to so why do you want to change them, John?

No no and I don't want to change them at all. Just checking to see if all the files are supposed to be Read-only in Contents and Assets. I want to make sure myself about this -- that's all I need to know.

I noticed similar crap when I had Win (te)N installed. Moving many non static folders to the documents section of the PC did help. IE folders which have files that are edited at times.

No more permission requests popping up.

This has misled many a windows user.

The short answer is, that black square is normal and what you expect to see.

Longer answer:

The black square in the box does not indicate that the files are readonly.
Instead, this checkbox tells Windows what function you want to occur when you click the 'Apply' button at the bottom of the form.
If you put a check mark in the box, it will apply 'readonly' to the files in the folder ( but you don't want to do this ).
If you clear the box, it will remove 'readonly' from the files in the folder.
The black square means, 'do nothing', no operation. Leave the files as they are.
