Game loads quick, menu tabs quick, editor.
Seem to be less stutter? Cant just be psychological, right. Right?
Feels diff for sure.
Oh and they swapped the workshop/standard tabs

steam://rungameid/24010
To launch the 64-bit version I can do this, but if I haven't already signed on to Steam I am prompted to do that first:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RailWorks\RailWorks64.exe"

This update is nothing more than a background image swap and the changed workshop button. It's disappointing to me, because the game still has an active fanbase, but all the high-quality content is made by the community and third parties. Almost all of DTG's locomotives are old locomotives which are several years old, and have simply been reworked over and over again. These locomotives often have extremely poor or inaccurate sounds, by today's standard. They are reusing rolling stock in new routes that's from the Rail Simulator release from 2007..... Good, high quality content is certainly possible, We've seen that with searchlight's excellent SD40-2 and AC4400CW locomotives, and the many high quality community repaints, sounds, enhancements and routes. DTG is quite simply not putting effort into their content anymore, their content has not changed or improved for a very long time. It's genuinely disappointing to me, because I love this game. DTG could revive the game and attract more players if they fixed the many known bugs, and made higher quality content, or introduced some revolutionary new feature, like first person play with increased interactivity, or multiplayer, But they won't.

I can't speak for others, but I have seen some nice things from DTG in recent years. The 2021 update may be more "behind the scenes" than anything else, but it sends the message that DTG is still supporting the product. The new CSX Hanover route is supposed to be really good from what I've read. I got the Alaska Railroad, Soldier Summit, and some nice locos. Nothing is perfect, but for the graphics and realism, TS is pretty doggone good. If it weren't, we would all be doing something else right now, and there would not be the endless variety and selection of add-ons out there. I started out using Microsoft Train Simulator years ago, but once I got into what was then just called Railworks, I didn't go back. I know that quite a few of the people I got to know from my MSTS days made the move, too.
I don't have a problem with people expressing their disappointment or even frustration here, but at the same time, this isn't the place to get your complaints addressed, is it? There are other train simulators out there - maybe they can do what this one doesn't? There are DTG communities that are probably more suited for suggestions and comments directed toward the development team.
