Done and working. So far no OOM. Going to the Workshop subscribed tab you can use the drive button again. I do wish to thank DTG for fixing the workshop. As he states with cautious optimism. *!!thnx!!*

Yesterday Matt from DTG stated that the OOM is addressed in TS2021. Lets hope that fixes it for a lot of people ! That would be great !*brav*!

Does changing the error name count as fixing it?

As Buzz said, back it up if your time invested is worth anything to you.

After seeing how small the update was, I was skeptical that much would be affected. Lo and behold though, my initial loading of my route gave me a bit of a scare.

Clearing the cache and restarting sorted out the missing assets problem, but underscores again how important frequent backups of any of your projects is.

According to Matt it was actually not a memory problem. So that could be the reason the name has been changed.

Of course I do. It's exactly why I have a USB drive. But for some reason, it never occurred to me to copy the previous route to it in 2018-2019, and hence the undesired result.

I retained a copy of TS2020 so I could run some comparison testing. I was careful to run both versions with the same graphics settings. Antialiasing, scenery quality and other settings often revert to default when an upgrade is installed.

On the CVP route I found frame rates were exactly the same between TS2020 and TS2021.

I also checked scenario load up times and found those to be exactly the same also.

I don't have much problem with 'out of memory' so I wasn't able to verify any improvements there.

FWIW - YMMV

Speaking of high FPS, I notice that this has been the case since I switched graphics card just under 3 years ago.

But I still notice bad stuttering when loading certain areas. It's resemblant to the MSTS editor which is very slow when navigating. You then you get to a slightly less detailed area, and it suddenly behaves almost flawlessly.

And FYI, there is a way to limit the frame rate through the Steam launch options.

And where's the subforum for this version of the game? It will seem barbaric having users criticised for failing to post in a forum that doesn't yet exist.
