Hello, I am new so I need your help. I need some documentation on how and where I put my downloaded file of the modification and models that are available.

I am aware this website is compatible with the Train Simulator games.

And I know how to access the files of the train simulator games through Steam.

And the Train Simulator game I am playing on is Train Simulator 2020.

Help would be apprecitated! !!*ok*!!

All the mods here contain some sort of installation instructions. Most of the mods are packaged as .zip or .7z files and you will need software to extract the contents. Some mod files are in .rwp format. They are installed from within Train Sim 2020. Other files, like mine, have a separate .exe file that installs the mod. Some payware mods require you to copy and paste .geopcx files from the original to the mod folder.

My suggestion is to extract and install one mod to start with. Read the instructions thoroughly. If that works, move on to another. It's not that hard but you do need to follow instructions.

I suggest you do an on line search and download for the free software 7z zip which can extract the files downloaded (usually as zip files) from here. 7z can also open .rwp files. All files uploaded to the site are required by admin to have some form of instruction, some are better than others. Familiarity is the best tutor but sometimes leads to “missing steps” in the instructions. It is very easy when it is second nature to the uploader not to think of the poor soul who has never done it before (even though we are all there once) but teaching granny to suck eggs is not appreciated all the time either, it is a balance. Harry is right, try one and then another. I recommend Harry’s work as good to try out, even if not your road or era, his instructions are clear and he puts in an easy to use installation system and he does a good job.
Try it and open up a new expanded world.

Another thought — - easiest to start off with a repaint of a Kuju freight car. They are old and not the best model, god for the day, but they are effectively freeware ( you buy them included in TS 2020) so you don’t have the .Geo files to find, copy and place. For a first few they are a good start.
