Here's a link to a video showing the new track alignment over Stevens Pass. It's "new," that is, compared to our Stevens Pass route; it's actually the old route in historic terms. If you ever wondered why GN built the 8-mile Cascade Tunnel, this might give you an idea.

(Oh, and if anybody knows how to embed a video in a post, please let us know. Neither the "youtube" tags nor the "url" tags, nor any combinations of these work whether using the embed URL or the video's full URL. I've been able to embed videos before, but phpBB, Microsoft and YouTube are all known to make "improvements" without telling anyone. Or I just forgot how to do it! Thanks.)
