Ghost writing in scenario instructions?

I recently downloaded some scenario packs by ellinotoff79 (Christophe Durvaux) for the Torino-Genoa route and have enjoyed very much driving a couple of his freight shunting scenarios. Having run into a bit of a problem with one of these, I opened it for editing and discovered something quite strange. At first, I thought that none of the instructions contained any text addressed to the driver, but then I looked closer and found this:

Well, despite my doctoring, it's still pretty hard to see, but there is text there, which reads, "You are now ready to join Sangone", etc. The text is very pale, nearly invisible against the black background, which I altered in the screenshot. It rather reminds me of the "ghost writing" my grandmother taught me to do with lemon juice on paper.

Normally, it would be possible to click this area and insert text, but that cannot be done here: the "ghost writing" cannot be altered, deleted, or overwritten.

So, this leads me to two questions: 1) how did the scenario writer do this, and 2) why would he want to do it? Someone more skilled than I will, I hope, provide answers and satisfy my curiosity.

!*don-know!* !**conf**!

Why he did it? I'd guess so no one could copy his work. How he did it, sorry no clue at this time.

It is probably because it has been translated to a second language. Look in the scenario folder for a .lan file and delete it and you will be able to edit the text
