Jumping to Route Markers - RW

Unread postby glenn52 » Sun Jul 12, 2009 3:08 am

Route Marker button on Navigation Panel - Clicking on this icon opens a set of user-defined button flags, or route markers, in the Properties panel. Use a route marker for quickly moving to certain parts of the route. To jump to a route marker location, select
one of the flags and click on the white arrow button.

However when I use this I arrive at the destination route marker, a long way underground.

Anyone have a tip?

Not sure if there is a way other than with the camera controls ( ctrl + Up or Down arrow )

Thanks again John,
That is the method I was using when I arrived at the destination marker.
But in some situations, the distance from where I found myself underground to 'the surface', meant I may well have traveled faster moving the camera(8) to my destination.
And, that method does not ensure I can nominate the correct elevation of the destination marker... !**conf**!
Track level to track level would have been great but maybe that is not provided for... *!sad!*

If you add the shift key into the mix it will speed up the movement.

Before jumping a fair distance, exit editing mode first. Jumping while in normal model will keep you planted closer to Earth. :D
Cheers!
