MON-1960-211

Fort Kent to Eagle Lake Subdivision

Work Order: Oakfield to Fort Kent Local Switcher
Date: April 4, 1960
Start Time: 8:00 am
Season: Spring
Weather: Clear
Run Time: 1:15
Equipment: BAR GP9 1791 / BAR GP9 1763

The Fort Kent to Eagle Lake route is still one of my favorites. Switching is my primary interest and this route is well designed. Run the RW_AssetSetup file to install the scenario.

Work Order: This is the last leg for BAR Train #211 from Eagle Lake to Fort Kent. It has more switching than the rest of the subdivision together.

Briefing: Switch out cars on the Fort Kent Subdivision. I like to use a lot of cars on my scenarios but everything is from the Railworks America file library. As always, I don't give a lot of instructions. Use the Work Order and your experience as a conductor. I've included a copy of Rich Garber's AllAboard Schematic Maps to help you out. For more realism, blow your horn for all the crossings; use your bell in industrial areas; and give your brakeman time to operate the manual switches.

Hope you enjoy. Part 2 will follow soon.

Fort Kent is also one of my preferred routes, as are several of Richard Garber's routes.
I'll be waiting eagerly for your part 2.
