Apologies if it's under the wrong section.

Is it possible to make quick drive compatible consists outside of the the sim? I'd like a couple of locos on my quick drive menu as light engines but I can no longer make quick drive compatible loads in the menu. Any help is appreciated! *!!thnx!!*

Some guy wrote some tutorials back in 2013-2014 that may have some useful ideas. You can check them out here:

I also have a question about the In-game Editor. I was watching Matt how he was explaining about the AI Spawn points and I notice under the Consist Type it says here

(idk if you can read it but I will do it from here)
Freight - Livestock
Freight - NuclearFlask
Freight - Scrap
Preserved
Custom1
Custom2
Custom3
Custom4
Custom5

Does anyone know what those Custom Consist are and how does it work?

Custom consists are consists like the others, they are just not universally defined. The only exception is CustomType1, which is commonly used for single locos or locos without wagons.
You may use them like you want for defining constists, but please remember, you need to use them in your quickdrive scenarios, too, with the valid routenumber defined.

I use them for example when I want to see different rolling stock on different branches of a route.

Another use for Custom is to randomize freight yards and sidings. In Western Lines of Scotland for example there are a number of consists with names beginning with LooseStock, all Custom 4, all with only the WLoS guid. Now placing spawn points on sidings and in yards that specify custom 4 and you will have random choices of those consists so that each time you load a scenario the look may be a little different. You can see a great domonstration of that by starting several quick drives in Kirkcudbright. Sometimes you will have vans beside you, sometimes milk tanks. Sometimes the Black 5 (Custom 5) will be on the turntable, sometimes not. I think Matt made those scenarios for WLoS by the way.

Ahhh that makes sense. I tried that on Folkston and nothing showed up :(. I've tried everything and not a single locomotive with Freight showed up. Wish I can figure out what the problem is, but I'm not to worried about it cause thanks to DTG we have Consists in the Editor which makes it so much easier to spawn in custom trains of our own !!*ok*!!

But I won't give up. I will continue to try it again and see how that will work.

Watch the 401Sly video on youtube and make a note of what he says about lengths.

I think I finally heard that about my 12th time through the video and it made a big difference. The default
space for a consist to spawn is too small so nothing will spawn.

Here is an excellent short video showing Western Pacific rolling stock used in consists during the era of the change over from diesel to steam. It shows an interesting mix of freight cars that can be modded in making consists. This is taken on the Feather River Canyon.
