So I am trying to create a scenario based on the upcoming 765 Excursion: "The Joliet Rocket". I have two set of passenger cars sitting on two different platforms at Chicago Union Station. I have an SW1500 sitting in the yard that is meant to go into the station and pull them into the yard. The problem comes up when I start setting up the route for the SW1500 to take. I have the switcher stopping in front of a signal just before the first platform and their is enough room for the switcher to get into the platform without obstructing a switch.. The problem comes up when the game thinks that the locomotive needs to be turned around before it can couple to the cars.

Here is the route that the player need to take and the problem that i am running into.

I ended up placing a SW1500 in the spot that the driver has to stop at before hooking up to the passenger cars.

And as you can see the SW1500 fits just fine on the platform even before it has been coupled to the rest of the consist.

I think I understand your problem. I cannot tell from your screen shot of the error message in the editor where the markers before the Add To Front instruction are located or where the switcher begins its run. I can say that I've run across similar situations and learned that the switcher has to be guided very thoroughly, for example, from its starting position to the pickup location, especially if changes of direction are involved. On the other hand, that Pick Up Passengers instruction may be the problem; have you tried deleting it? The only other thing that comes to mind is that your Add To Front Instruction's list of rolling stock is not correct.

One final comment: sometimes the editor predicts problems that do not actually exist. When I cannot think of any other solution, I exit the scenario, clear the cache, close TS, and run a file integrity check. That sometimes clears the editor's head.

Well it turns out that the reason my train was acting up was because I had classified it as "Empty Stock". I guess it made it think that it was an Electric Multiple Unit as it couldn't connect to anything. All I did was changed its classification from "Empty Stock" to "Other Freight" and the scenario started to work. I still had to rebuild it from the ground up but it is now ready to go. Now I have to figure out what one of the automatic switches flips before the last car passes over it.
