This is a weird one.

Discussion about RailWorks scenario creation.

This is a weird one.

Hello all, It's me.
I've started making scenarios for my new route, the first being called "Welcome to Nowhere"
However, when I have the player switching the Cookie Plant at the end of the line, that is where I run into this...odd problem.
Image
Notice the car numbers at the top of this instruction for switching the Sugar track.
Image
Notice how this instruction for the Corn Syrup track currently has no car number written down.
Image
When I go to enter the car numbers from the first order I showed you into an instruction where you need to drop the cars off at a passing track...
Image
I go back to the instruction where there we're no numbers, and oh hey, look. The two car numbers from the other track that shouldn't be here.

I can go in and switch the car numbers, but every time I enter those numbers into the "Drop off cars" instruction, they reappear.
And no, I cant just enter the numbers of the cars on the Corn Syrup track and put them into the Drop off cars instruction first, because then THEY appear in the Sugar track instruction, where they should not be.
If anyone can make sense of this long-winded explanation, can you possibly provide some sort of solution?
Thanks in advance.
sreehC,
Jack

Usually, the left pane of the editor displays the tracks where the cars you want to select are located. Having opened an Add to Front, Add to back, or Drop Off instruction for editing, the usual practice is to click the space where car numbers appear and then click the desired cars in the left pane. Since that pane is empty, however, I'm wondering how you're determining car numbers at all.

I've never experienced the disappearing numbers you describe, but in TS anything can happen and often will.

Please explain where and how you are identifying car numbers and I'll try to assist you from there.

Thanks for the assist, but the problem was fixed when Railworks crashed when I tabbed out to write this. Went back in, everything works out great.
