Thanks for the link, minerman; I'd like to try your route, but am just not willing to pay $40 for the Jersey Coast Line, which looks to be 100% passenger related.

I hear you talking Old Prof. In their world its 100% passenger related. In my world, I have a class 1 railroad that happens to have an 89 mile commuter line the runs on top of my Eastern terminus from Jersey City to Port Jervis. If you got the Bergen and have Munich and Sherman Hill, you should get a good ride to Suffern from Croxton. Dundee Spur has zero NJCL in it. You shoulda seen the Bergen when the Erie ran RS2s, GP7s and E8s with Stillwell cars on it.

Pleased to report that other than the red signal problem coming into Suffern that you all ready mentioned, I encountered no other issues on a QD run from Jersey City into Suffern Yard Ford Lead. This was with 3 of Ian's NS SD60Ms and somewhere close to 5,000ft of double stacks. FPS rating was anywhere from 15-22 which I'm also pleased with. !!*ok*!!

I'm going to start making up a switching scenario for this. Since the majority of traffic on this route is passenger / commuter trains, do you know if the freights / switching jobs are run at nighttime?

Boosted - note that with the finalization of the Bergen as the Croxton Ordinary - we can all start building scenarios now, while I continue slugging it out on the Bergen. Regarding Freight and Switching Jobs - of course at night, but in the day time as well. In the manual, I write about "blue hour" and daylight freight operations. Between 930am and 330pm you can run freight across the line. as there is diminished commuter service during that time! There was a time where the local freights would line up at Croxton waiting for 930 so they could service all the local traffic.
