How do you delete a scenario marker.

Starting with a Free Roam Scenario, there are often Scenario Markers all over the show.

How can these be deleted?

I'm guessing Kevin but have you tried selecting it and pressing the delete key? There's also the delete option in the 1st or 2nd dialogue box. But what you can also do is in the menu for scenarios, highlight the scenario and press the delete key, that will work for sure.

You may be seeing the scenario markers for the other scenarios that start in that same area. I have double clicked on one of the 'extra' scenario markers and got the pop up message 'do you want to change the current scenario?' which indicates to me that it is changing from the currently selected scenario to the one I double clicked.

I believe that what Kevin is seeing are the other scenario markers for the route that start in the same area as the scenario he is editting.

Tried the 2 options you mention. Deleting the scenario I guaess may remove the marker.

Am I not understanding the interface perhaps? When one goes into freeplay does it in fact contain all the markers from currently loaded (i.e. installed) scenarios? In other words am I seeing scenario markers from other scenarios loaded on my machine?

Hi Kevin

That's exactly what you're seeing - scenario markers for other installed scenarios. In fact if you double click on one, hey presto! you're editing the relevant scenario. So if you delete that market while you're in free roam, I think you'd delete the whole scenario it relates to - I haven't tried it, but you can't have a scenario without its marker...

Thanks Paul.

I suspected as much. It looks like you CANNOT delete a scenario marker in the editor - I tried everything as my tidy mind wanted to clean up! Before it actually occurred to me that these may represnt other scenarions I tidied them away! Probably messed uop some sceneraios now! Anyway can always reinstall!

Whst this does indicate, is that in placing markers one should take some care, as the field may get a bit cluttered later!

Hmm, two months old, gotta sweep all the cobwebs outta here. In case someone comes looking for the answer;

1. Get close to the scenario marker in the scenario editor, double click on it.
2. Pull out the right side flyout, read the name.
3. Exit back to the route selection menu, select scenarios, then click on the one with that name, hit the delete key on the keyboard.

That deletes the entire scenario, which will take the marker with it. Got a route with a zillion of them, easiest is to select everything in the scenario selection menu that says "supply name" and delete all those.
