I've got the TOFC blues.

I spend most of my sim time route-building. I take a break every few months to do some re-skinning.I spent most of Sunday going through threads on TOFC,and came to some frustrating conclusions. All of the modern TOFC are 45 foot trailers. No 53 footers are mounted on TTX 89/90 flats. I have the SD 75 set,and the Feather River set installed. I read some are using the Marias Pass sets. It seems you can not have two different trailers on one long flat. And the mapping does not reflect the direction the trailers are mounted. Is this corrected on the MP rolling stock? The logos face the same direction, even with the trailers back to back. I am not interested in the Frontrunners, they are not my era,and were a failure. I read about editing the files to place a single 53' unit in a flatcar. But frankly, editing bin files gives me a headache. I am baffled there none in the file library, ready to roll. Is there just not much interest in Piggyback movements?
So to clarify. No 53' trailers mounted on long flats, available to D/L. And long flats with 2 trailers can only be the same? Also I have attached a pic of the SD 75 pack vs Feather River loaded flats. What a difference.

This is not true. See below.

No. DTG may give the impression of this, as they have historically been really lazy with their TOFC models and skins.

As above this is not true. You must have missed this pack, which contains all of the things you are looking for. Its right here in the RWA file library.

I had downloaded that pack. But misread some of the info. Do you mind posting shots of the installed file structure of both files. My RSC folder has the flatcar, not the RSDL folder. Not certain how critical it is.

The path is critical to the success of the install.

DTG/RSC has a habit of reusing the same assets with many, many, many different DLC. You may very well have the exact same 89' flatcar model in your RSC folder under a variety of other DLC (SD75, Marias Pass, etc...) but these repaints are all looking to the RSDL folder pathing.

I believe I got mine along with the CN SD40-2W DLC, which goes on sale frequently in the $5 range.

Otherwise, you could change the bin files for each repaint to look to one of the DLC locations that you own, but that may take a while as there are 146 of them.

Thank you for the info. I was rather tired when I wrote my 3 line reply to your solution. I did not have any RSD LFreight DLC to work with. The RSC TTX geo file may have the same name, but I determined the best thing to do was just purchase the CN Widenose Pack. Then I added the TTX re-skins to the mix. I copied the 3 GEO files to one of the folders. BOOM! There it is. And the 90000Ft trailers are mapped, properly. So I should be able to get started on some new paint schemes. One question. It seems his reskins do not mirror from a common file. So I need to add the 3 geo's to each set? Many thanks! Joe

Hopefully they will totally update the trailer package, no one runs 45' any more and the names combinations are unrealistic.

Well there is a little problem. Like two 53' trailers won't fit on the railroad car. Along with the fact if you are talking modern day I can't remember at least in my neck of the woods where you see anything but containers on the rails.

Why would it need to be 'updated'? This pack serves a great purpose of providing rolling stock for about a 20 year period. One of the draws of this game (and other train sims) is that you can represent a wide variety of eras. These assets serve their purpose well for this.
