64 Bit not working since Graphics Card Upgrade...

Hey Guys, So I've been having issues with 64 bit railworks as it seems to not launch ever...I've got a Nvidia GTX 1060 on my PC right now...

Are you trying to launch it from the exe that's in the RailWorks folder or where? I have a GTX1060 and it's working fine. What driver are you using for your card?

I have a GTX1060 also and have no problems.

I've tried all forms of launching 64 bit and it's completely broken. nothing happens anymore.

Are you sure that you are running the 64 bit on your graphics card? Open NVIDIA control panel, Manage 3D settings, program settings. In select a program to customize tab see if Railworks.64 bit is there. If not click the add tab sort A-Z, scroll down to Railworks64.exe then add selected program.
An alternate method for Windows 10: Open settings for Windows 10, navigate to System>Display>Graphics Settings.
Click browse>navigate to your Railworks folder, scroll down to Railworks64.exe and add.

AmericanSteam’s suggestion should do the trick. I experienced the same thing when the 64 bit version was released. For some reason, the program likes to default to your computer’s integrated graphics chip.

So you're saying that 32 bit Railworks works with the new graphics card, but 64 bit does not?

It most likely will not ever show there. What happens when you attempt to launch the 64-bit version. As much detail as possible. Did it work before you upgraded the card? When you followed my previous instructions what did you find?

Yeah you can get it to show up. Go to manage 3D Settings then Program Settings add and go find Railworks 64.exe.

From the Steam forums.

Inside the main Train Simulator directory (RailWorks), there is a directory called Install.
Open this directory called Install. There is a directory called OpenAL. Inside this OpenAL there is a directory called 64bit. Inside the 64bit there is a file called OpenAL32.dll. Copy this file to the main directory (Railworks) and ask to replace the existing file.
Also check the other install files to verify if you need DirectX, dotnet or physX updates. My PC needed it.
Now the 64 bits version of Train Simulator is working fine.

If that doesn't work try removing your workshop items if you have any. Maybe a corrupt scenario there.

Is Steam running? Been a while since I tried the 64 bit version (too buggy and choppy) but ISTR it doesn't start Steam automatically and won't run until you do so separately, first.
