A little creative kit bashing...

Unread postby ironcat60 » Sat Mar 23, 2019 7:29 pm

So need a garbage truck for the scenery?

Here is a couple of ways to put together two different types. It uses items common to all users.

The items are: Container Blue 20ft, Vehicle Truck 1970's, Bin Blue Modern, Coal Bunker, Buffer Wood.

The Container and Bin need to be resized but it can be done without unlocking the resize tool and having to figure out the size in each direction.

And the one picture is just some kit bashing for fun: "The Masked Vigilante corners a fugitive of the law for the police..." (I like the flying "Vigilant-Mobile") !*salute*!

Also this one to fuel your imagination.

The pry bar is a Fence Post, the Welding Rig is the Cable Reel, Silo Metal Small x2, Trolley 1970's. The Tool Box is Bin Green Domestic.

It's a Mercedes, but still looks the part. Nice job on the kit-bashing !!*ok*!!

@ RudiJaeger,

Thanks for reminding me of that little gem! I recently reskinned that Mercedes into a Mack Garbage Truck for another forum member who desired a North American Garbage Truck. Did the cab only as the truck body would be a real nightmare to color around all the hoses and hydraulic pistons. I need to post that truck in the File Library. Thanks for finding the link to the original so I can put the link in so folks can download the original GeoPcDx to get it up and running as the Mack.

For those wanting a front lift truck, just use the little kit bashing trick I listed above. You can resize the length of the buffer to fit your tastes. And it looks good enough from the cab of a locomotive to fit the bill. !*salute*!
