Problem Creating New Scenario 64-bit

Unread postby harryadkins » Tue Mar 12, 2019 10:14 pm

Tonight I tried several times to create a new scenario in 64-bit that crashed. Here are the steps I took:

1- Under "Build," I selected the Fort Kent Division route
2- selected "Create New Scenario"
3- named scenario "Morning Freight from Oakdale"
4- selected "Standard Scenario"
5- selected "Eagle Lake" as starting point
6- selected "Create Scenario"

Scenario Builder (and TS2019) crashed within 3-4 seconds.

Has anyone else experienced a similar problem?

Have you confirmed that you have the latest 64-bit editor build? I had to verify local files twice before I got it.

I have been able to create both standard and freeroam scenarios.

No issues in the 64 bit editor. Clear the cache often has helped.

Have you successfully opened an existing scenario in the route? Can you create a Roam scenario?

Just wondering if there is a basic corruption in the route files

Ticket ID: MVX-724-67606
Department: Train Simulator
Type: Issue

All of my drivers and software apps are up-to-date. I have attached a copy of DxDiag and the log file in question. However, I think I have discovered the problem

After another unsuccessful attempt at running a Fort Kent Subdivision scenario, I used the "Check Route" function of RW Tools. It revealed that none of the .ap files associated with this route had been unpacked. After manually unpacking the .ap files, the route and scenario runs normally.

I hope this helps your investigation.

Fort Kent assets do not come in an .ap file to start with, on my copy anyhow.

All Aboard products purchased through Steam are in .ap format.

After further investigation, I cannot run any All Aboard scenarios or freeware routes such as Industrial Interactive / MCSA, I can run DTG and RSC routes plus the RWA Lakeside route. I've tried deleting and re-installing IIRR and MCSA with no success. It's a peculiar problem.
