TS20: Union Pacific Wasatch Grade Update 8 October 2019

Today we are bringing a small update to Train Simulator: Union Pacific Wasatch Grade: Ogden - Evanston Route. Please find the full change log below.

Fixed an issue with missing river textures for users who do not own the Clear Creek route.
Approx. download size: 276.6KB

Too bad they didn't fix the other issues. I think the River issue was very clear that it was a product defect from my ticket with them. The one with the brakes not working is harder to claim as an actual product issue since theres nothing really missing.

I played around with coupler settings the other night but wasn't able to fix it. I'm also only seeing the acceleration with the steamers and not the diesels. Going to look through the steamer files to see if there is anything suspect in there. Any help would be appreciated!

I have sent them a ticket about the coupler issue plus a short video of it happening. In case you haven't seen it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XRV8Zfc4Gs

I fixed my Reefer brakes. If you copy the braking section from the Cattle Cars to the Reefer cars the acceleration upon lifting the brake is gone. I did not test each value individually to see what one affected it, but I am sure it is some setting here.

Here is an image of the section I copied and replaced in the PFE Reefer.bin files:

I wrote a ticket to DTG about Big Boy not having any smoke puffs when in reverse or any increase in smoke from the exhaust when the blower is turned on. They replied asking me if I had Phys X turned on. I didn't so turn it on and it made no difference. I didn't think it would as these effects should be written in a bin file somewhere.

I had this reply from DTG today about the Big Boy smoke issues after I questioned their email. "The Add-On was developed by Milepost Simulations so the features available will differ from those implemented by ourselves and other developers.

If you have ensured that all files are present and that Physx is running from your GPU then it's likely that the features missing are simply not ones implemented by the Developer.

So I have replied to them again asking why don't they contact the developer over this. I know for a fact that other sites selling games which are not there own saying about an issue with a certain game that they will contact the developer of the game.

Sent a message to Milepost Simulations, see if they will answer.
UPDATE: Just received this from Milepost Simulations

Thanks, mate. Probably take about a month or so before it appears on Steam though. Just ask Mike Rennie.

I sent Daniel from DTG whom I have been speaking by email about the issue with this route telling him that Milepost has DTG a patch.
