Acces Violation on one of the payware route, DTG Raton Pass

I was surprised to see that after made a locomotive change in one scenario, Eastboud Manifest (DoveTail Games) on the route of Raton Pass (DoveTail Games) as well. My question is that DoveTail Games don't want us to change the scenario. I swap one of the leading locomotive from theirs ATSF * Dash8-40CW " to ET44C4's ATSF " C40-8W ". The reason why I changed is I don't like the trucks of Dash8-40W. Guess DoveTail won't give us permission to change anything in TS 2019. Can i get bypass this so I will not get " Access Violation ". Or have to put back the original locomotive that will make this scenario work again.

There's no limitations on what you can do at all.

If switching loco A (where the scenario works) to loco B (where it doesn't) - I would draw the conclusion that something may be wrong with Loco B. The game certainly has no objection to you swapping locos out, I do it all the time.

Are you swapping with an external tool, or by using the built in scenario editor? If the former - could you try the latter to see if that yields a better result?

Thank you for your reply and I used RW_Tools to swap the locomotive. The locomotive that I changed is the leading locomotive. With scenario editor I find very complicated to use. That is why I never ever use scenario editor. Yes I have seen several YouTube videos about Scenario Editor but I gave up with this. So RW_Tools is my friend to check the scenario and other things that I can change the rolling stock.

Do you have RW tools up to date? I know prior to Mike's last update it was corrupting scenarios when I'd try to stock swap.

Mike has a new site ( old one was completely hacked ) and I guess he has not yet had time to finalize all links and issues.

Doing an internet search never occurred to me, as for some reason I thought it was no longer updated.

But thanks for the link. I wasn't aware of the hacking. Will make sure it's kept up to date.
