Had a strange thing happen after I loaded all t hose coal cars. I turned off the auto pilot for loading the coal and put on the brakes to stop. Ran the length of the train to set the switch so I could connect to the front end. Ran back to my engine so I could connect the formation to the front. Released the brakes AUTO and INDY, bailed off. Put it in notch 2 and just sat there reving the engine. Dumped it to notch 8 and still just sat with the engine screaming. It moved slightly, I get to tighten up the slack and that was it. About this time I noticed the brake pipe was still at 60. Duh??? I applied the brakes again to Full Service and then released them. This time the brake pipe was moving and I was able to move the train on notch 2.
After I connected to the front half of the main train I got some instructions as to what I was doing next. In those instructions it said I would have to wait for 5 minutes for the brake pipe to be where it should. This is the first time I saw this info. 5 minutes to get air back? Wondering if that is what is happening to a lot of people who say they can't get it going?
