Are you playing the latest build 50?
I am currently driving a AC4400 and its cab occlusion seems OK. Coming back using 1 after 2 and 3 keys took me outside muffle the exterior sounds. Opening and closing doors and windows likewise.

Build 46 is the original game. The cab occlusion has been improved in the later builds available under the subsequent beta's.
No doubt many bug fixes and improvements will be included in a future public update.
When you don't want to install the beta builds, you'll have to wait for awhile till DTG releases a public update through Steam.

And do you have cab occlusion and echo effect in the tunnels?
It could be these are dependent on some settings on the Audio pane, mainly SFX? Is there anything on these settings in the User Guide we may have overlooked?

I have the build version 46 (original game + update 1 + update 2). I haven't cab occlusion in the tunnels neither echo effect.

I don't understand. If you have applied update 2 you should be on Build 48.
Please try to update your game to to 3.5tb, as all of us are on Build 50 now. You can always go back to first release or any of the older beta builds if the need arises.

Oh crap, I'm stupid. I thought that the updates were automatic (not the test version) and I put the option "Keep this game updated". So I should go to Steam Library => TSW => Properties => Betas => u3.5tb?
Thanks!

Yes, that's what you should do.
As soon as DTG thinks the best beta are ready for release, you game will automatically be updated to a stable build. The beta's are manual install only, and you can go back and forth between them.

How to increase the sound of the locomotives and wagons in the TSW? I have seen here what to do but, as I changed the computer, now I can not remember where this explanation is.

Try this may help for a bit
There is a temporary fix for the quiet sound. You can edit an .ini file to increase it.
Navigate to the folder
<mydocuments>\My Games\TS2Prototype\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
and open the file
GameUserSettings.ini
I have my settings as follows:
MasterSoundVolume=3.500000
MusicSoundVolume=1.500000
SFXSoundVolume=3.500000
AmbienceSoundVolume=2.500000
DialogueSoundVolume=1.500000
ExternalAlertVolume=1.500000
MenuSFXVolume=1.000000
You can play around with these to find something that suits you.
