Hey All,

Starting over with my SETexas rte. Contemplating using the Scale Rail Track system. A couple of things I'm wondering about:
1. There are three rail types, SP, ATSF, and Default. What are the differences and can they be mixed?
2. Each type has selections for "C1" and "W1"- What does this signify? Are they interchangeable?
3. Also each type has a sub code after some track names: N5, NG & NP. What is this?

Yes, they can be mixed, but not usually recommended.

1) The main differences in track is mainly the color of the ballast. However, other aspects specific to ATSF and SP would be in signalling and lineside structures, although none have been released yet.
2) "C" and "W" are for concrete and wood ties, respectively, and the trailing numbers are so that I have room to add more variations.
3) I don't know what "N5" is (I don't recall ever seeing it), NG = Narrow Gauge (I've never released a set though), NP = No Portal, and "NB" (not mentioned) = No Bumper.

Remember that you need to stay with the same track rule. Even better make your own track rule (cloned from the scale rail) so you can customize it if needed.
