Has anyone else had a problem navigating to the supplied link to download this route? I would love to install it because this route is literally in my backyard. I get an error every time I try to go to it.

It's on Otto's web site, which is not always available.
You can easily reach Otto on the trainsim.com forums.

It's a pretty good route. I don't have some of the payware assets, so it's not quite as pretty or complete as it could be. But even using all the free stuff (scalerail, scaleroad, etc), it's still pretty good looking. Even has the runway the space shuttle landed on at Edwards AFB. Of course it comes with pretty much nothing for rolling stock or engines on the route, so you'll have to drop most of those on the tracks on your own.

There is a lot of rails to cover and I've been on all routes and branches. Pretty darn good for FREE. !!*ok*!!

Ok thanks!! I will keep checking; I really want this route since I am so close to it. I have some good pictures of some of the locomotives that the Trona Railway Company uses (SD40-2's and T2's) and with that I want to tackle my first attempt at repainting.

The Trona Railroad has retired all of it SD-45 . They are currently using 8 SD40-2.

These were taken on March 17th, 2013. I'm going to attempt a repaint of these units for this route.

Hey Mac

So does UP still take the loads from Trona to Mojave? Or does TRC do it? I haven't been out that way in about four years. The only trains I ever saw along the HWY14 where UP's. BTW. Didn't we (the community) have a discussion in this forum a while back about SP not owning any SD-42's !*roll-laugh*!

The Trona Railroad Company only runs on its 31 miles of track. All freight is transferred at Searles, and the UP run its to Mojave.
