How do you flks dealn with....

Unread postby PamBrooker » Fri Jun 18, 2010 10:15 pm

the dreaded "Something BAD happened" error?? I'd really like to know.. I just lost four hours of work pushing individual vertices into place by hand because of this and i just dont know what to do about it.. Is there an autosave someplace i can turn on to keep this from happening?? I'm just terribly sick of losing work like that..
Thanks
Pam

Save often, like after every time you finish something important, there is not really anything you can do about it, other than not killing the program by doing weird things.

Hi,

Pressing the F2-key will save your progress in the route and scenario editors. Use it often (very very often!)
Also you can use the auto-backup feature of RW in Steam, this will back up all modified files each time they are saved (I think).

Cheers!

Hi Gang:

I found this .bat file somewhere and I like it a lot.

It backs up any changes you made to a route or routes that you chose.

It works independentally of Steam and RW as it stores its files in a folder in the main drive.

I appologize to the author of this file as I do not know where I got or the developers name. It was freeware so I hope I do not step on anyones toes.
