I've been able to get terrain DEM imported into the sim before, but I used the newer downloads from the USGS site today and converted all the .bil to .hgt and I put the files into the DEM/SRTM folder, but when I go to edit the route to import the terrain nothing happens. My file names look as follows N41W123T98.hgt, N41W123T88.hgt... and so forth for all my data I downloaded from the USGS server.There is also 154 of these .hgt files as well. So, I'm wondering if there is something I've done wrong somewhere. Any advice will be appreciated.

I'm having the same issue. I have also tried using ReDem hoping for a better result but it either gives me error messages or it also fails to add the terrain files. I'm not giving up, and if I find what ever it is that I am doing incorrectly, I'll post the info here.

Actually, I re-asked this question in the route design forum and recieved some help and I've got my terrain imported with ReDEM. It was a little tedious, but less trouble than the import terrain feature in the editor.
