you may want to hold off on using 3rd party assets until the coast is clear. i recommend laying all the trackwork first, putting down some road lofts, trees etc. and revisiting the signals last making sure you dont have to do this all over again. savingyo ualot of headache and time.

so here update,
i going to start all over witch i knida don't mind. i upgraded my pc and i did back up the route like the rwp file and not the assest file to. since i was useing rw tools to start the folder of route i guess it need to be back uptoo. anyway when i loaded my route back on my new pc i didn't get the donner pass clouds that i like i got default clouds. the route was good but no 3d clouds and i click and unclick and click the donner pass box add-on and restarted the game cuple times and it didn't work. so i deleted it and now starting over. now i did check new terrain that look kinda canadian mountain grassie kind and i found it useing default uk terrain map but i guessing i won't get 3d clouds unless i use donner pass map right?

ok so i have rebuilt the roger pass line now and i'm now at both macdonald and connaught tunnel. and built the tunnels. now i know the both shawnessy and macdonald have lights in them in real life, and i'm doing the same on my route. i wondering is there limit on how many lights blubs i can place befor eather some dissapear or game crashes. so far i done shawnassy tunnel and no problems yet but macdonald tunnel is alot longer. have any one else place tons of lights in there route to point that it crashes or lights dissapear
i have pics here.

Your tunnel's lights are good and enough. Just use lights not casting shadows (aka glow lights) and you'll get to place as much as you want with no impact in fps. That's what happens in any RSC tunnel, for example: glow lights (tons of them in NEC). The same advise for yards. Lights casting shadows are realistic (of course), but they drop fps down putting your rig on the knees. Well, it will be not a problem in couple years when the current generation of (say) ultra-high-end rigs will become the "average" users' rigs.

That's not a question of use pointlight or spotlights, it doesn't matter, in fact. The question is set either spotlight or pointlight to not cast shadow. Usually spotlights cast shadows and pointlights don't, but you can set the opposite for any of them.

You can place spotlights in the tunnel (it might look more realistic with a cone of light), instead of pointlights (no cone at all). Just be sure that the source light you chose (spot or point) will not cast shadows.

ok well i useing red neon lights cause rest seem to turn on when it nights. and i'm not useing shadows. so far it look good almost done. later i might go back and change color to what ever high pressure soduim lights cast. i was doing research on lights in both tunnels Because the lights are on continuously, grain which has been spilled from passing trains has been found to sprout and grow to a height of 3 or 4 inches. that kinda neat.
