terrain data download since USGS change?

Unread postby deepsouthrailfan » Sun Apr 15, 2012 5:22 pm

Has anyone downloaded or tried to download terrain data from the USGS site since the change over tile data. I would like to try my hand at working on some route building in RW, but all the tutorials all use the older seamless data.

Thanks,
Randy

I downloaded some data about a week ago using 'co-ordinates' selector (the one where you switch to decimal and put in the four outer co-ords). 1/9th seamless data is where it's at.

I downloaded data for central PA last month. Found a lot of voids in the 1/9 arcsec data - had to patch them using the 1/3 arcsec data.
