Doubletrack siding attachment.

Discussion about RailWorks route design.

Doubletrack siding attachment.

Unread postby mountainrail2012 » Sat Mar 17, 2012 2:26 pm

!*don-know!* Ok I am laying single track to the North and come to an area that is need of a passing double track. My passing
track is to the left of the main #1 track. How do I get the "2 track" icons (in the editor) to attach to the right main#1 double track. So far the single main will only attach to the left double which puts the passing track on the wrong side! I have been
trying to keep the tracks as close to the grade called for in the Route's Track Chart. Am I waisting my time? The grades don't
come very close to the terrain so I end up doing a lot of leveling at business spur's. Any wisdom from the Track Laying God's would be much appreciated. Ken

not sure if this is what you are looking for... but, when placing the passing track, hold the mouse button, dont let go, move your "mouse arm" to the side and the editor will "change the attachment side"...

not sure if i understand my own sentence there but.... *!!wink!!*

Good luck

You could run a piece of track past where you are laying, cut a piece out and run a section of double backward, just to get some double in the right place to get you started.

There's probably a key you can press though. Hopefully someone will know.
