Scalerail and crossovers

Unread postby NDORFN » Thu Mar 08, 2012 6:53 pm

Anyone else having this problem when making a crossover between two standard spaced straights of Scalerail? I know one solution is to increase the offset distance but I don't want to do that.

Yeah that's the one. Not a major but it looks pretty crap.

Just cut the track right in the middle of the crossover (on the track that goes between), then weld the track. Problem solved. :D
They exist everywhere. You may not see them, but they're there. Awww yeeeaaaahhhh, 20% Cooler! /)

Another way to do it is to cut the mainline just beyond the frog. Doing it that way also helps to isolate the switch for proper signal operation.

Good advice. Went around and did that to all my switches and it solved some AI issues.
