Donner Pass Bowman

Is it possible to correct track bed elevation mistakes in the Donner Pass route at Bowman rd. underpass. The mistake is probably only noticed by someone who is from the area in question. Track#2 is running through a deep trench almost 45 to 50 ft lower than track#1. I posted a couple of shots as we were passing through the area.

PS.Am I correct in assuming that all of the US Track Profile ("track elevation information") needs to be converted from feet to meters.

Donner Pass from RSC had so many trackage mistakes in general that RSC came out stating that a patch would be released taking care of all the abrupt and insane track errors. A patch is being worked on, release date unknown.

Back to your question. You will have to either send RSC an email describing the issue at hand and that you would like it corrected in the upcoming patch.. ( might be too late though )

Or, You can fix it yourself, make a clone of the Donner Pass route and you are ready to go. If you dont make a clone, the upcoming patch will overwrite any changes you have made.

As a final note, editing the area in question will be quite a challenge as your change will have to be realigned further ' up or down' the road so to speak.. but yeah, it is possible.

imnew thank you for the reply. I have cloned the route and I know the changes will have to be made at the beginning of the terrain change, and being a newbie to track building I think for now I will leave it to the "brave at heart". I will send the request to RW2012 Support's "black hole". Ken

You are welcome my fellow Donner Pass user. Man, i just wish that patch will be out soon.... Havent run the Donner Pass route more than two times since the first day of release, simply because of the rather comic track work in certain places.

OK I just sent the e-mail with a description and photo's of the Bowman rd over-crossing to the "Black Hole". But I was still wondering about the track elevation conversions from feet to metric as I have a "UPPR Roseville Service Area 2002 Track Chart book" that I can't wait to "play" with. I have been "marking" and cross referencing as many of the track "items",signals,signal boxes,crossings etc. with Google Earth from Roseville to Oakland Stockton Marysville Oroville Shasta as well as all of the paths of tracks and yards, so I am itching to get started. Ken

I want to add/claim the Feather River Canyon (UP Canyon Sub).
I didn't burry that route project, it's only on hold until the D&S is finished.

Of course you can also model it, but then we'd have it double.

Gentlemen, I bow out to the "True masters". I haven't heard any chatter about the W-3 in some time and happy as all get out that you are claiming it. I can't imagine how many projects are under way out there until we get an update every once in awhile. The thing that always bugged me is that we didn't have any way to connect the BNSF Gateway Subdivision to what I believe was the W-4 North to at least Klamath Falls yard.
