ReDem shooting blanks

Unread postby NDORFN » Thu Feb 16, 2012 10:03 pm

I've been trying to generate terrain using ReDem for a couple of days. The .bin files it produces are full of zeros. I've tried three different .bils from USGS with the same result. Anyone else having issues with ReDem presently?

ReDem has worked for me since first released.

  • Enter the Longitude and Latitude for your route (the values in the route blueprint are reversed = lat/lon)
  • Load a preset series of makers (I use some created as MSTS *.MKR marker files)
  • Enter the suggested DEM Bounds (2 or more - this is the distance away to generate from each marker point)
  • Load the downloaded DEM (single *.BIL file downloaded from USGS or elsewhere)
  • Click the Create button - you will be prompted to choose a directory to save your tiles
  • Repeat for additional sections along the route as needed
Cheers!
