rw decal

Unread postby kevhead » Wed Jan 11, 2012 5:14 pm

I have rw decal and I used bilxstr. When I went to google earth and downloaded the files etc I got it all to work but have a few questions. The terrain looks good but will it show cuts and fills where bridges are? The data I put in looks pretty close can you change the resolution or the distance like you can in rw decal? And using rw decal How do you keep them from moving when you are working on top of them. And as always thank you. *!!thnx!!*

Hello, can you tell me what "bilxstr" is, or does? I searched but didn't find it.

Thanks much!

I may have misspelled that. I believe it;s bilxstrm. *!embar*! I am trying to follow the instructions in the rw 2012 how to build a route found in the misc. download section. I got it all to work but it's not easy for a first timer. It works the same as redem I guess except it's free. !!*ok*!! I unfortunately don't have much time to spend on it. I guess if there was one thing that I would really want in rw is a route editor for dummy's. !*roll-laugh*! When I briefly had trainz that was really the only thing I liked about it. Their editor was pretty cool. I hope that helps. :D

If you place objects carefully you shouldn't have too many probelms with the decal moving. When it comes to texturing though I found the only way to go is paint over the decal then move it away and tidy up the paint work.

Is it a program that automatically ads texture to decals from google?

That would be cool, if so where can one find it?

I agree about getting a more forgiving and easier route editor!

Thanks in advance!
