Convert Castle Rock Track

Is it possible to convert the track and switchstands on the Castle Rock route to something that looks more prototypical? If so, has anyone done a tutorial on the procedure?

Only thing I know of for sure is otto's track changer thingy. I used it once and screwed up my route trying to change it to scalerails. How to change switchstands I am not sure though.

There was a topic on this but I can't seem to find it. If I remember correctly someone said that there is a tutorial on the RW_Tools sight which talks about this.
