Placing assets on a slope

Unread postby SAR704 » Sat Dec 24, 2011 11:17 pm

Is there any way to align assets to the terrain in RW like there was with MSTS? If I place a loft fence, it doesn't all snap to the terrain unless I do it in short sections. Is there a more efficient way to place fences in hilly terrain than this?

In the Donner Pass and Horse Shoe Curve routes there are lines of trees that conform to terrain. I don't know how it works but it's only a matter of time before the someone does the same for fencing.

Fences and such can be tricky sometimes.

You could use the elevation-tool to adjust the height of linear objects.

Another way to "snap" some objects to terrain is to click on it, then press j to set it to terrain level, though for some linear objects this doesn't always work quite right for the whole length of it.
