Crossings and measures

Unread postby kosm547 » Thu Nov 03, 2011 8:11 am

I thought that I read somewhere that the measurements could be changed to US Standard. Having to convert gets a little tedious. I looked but didn't find a way. Secondly, is it possible to change the distance from an approaching train that the crossing operates? I have a city line that crosses roadways twice and the signal operation should be "tighter". I am using SMM digital signals.

The distance from the crossings can be changed in the .lua script files that are located in the RailNetwork/LevelCrossings folder. You can open the file with notepad or notepad++. Near the top of the page there are five lines that control signal behavior such as when the signal activates and when the gate closes. The values are in meters.

If I remember correctly, this information is contained at the end of the SMM Level Crossings manual.
