RW3 Route Marker Problems

Unread postby ErocFx » Fri Oct 21, 2011 10:44 am

I can't see my markers in a new route I have started.
I made a series of placemarkers in Google Earth and then exported a kml file. I then used "Convert markers direct to dcvs" in RWtool. I can see the markers in the list in the editor but not on the route. I also have markers on the list from the base route, San Bernadino, which shouldn't be there. I hit F6 and only see the begining route marker and none of mine.

Any ideas?

Maybe this will help... or not. This is still in a draft state, been sitting on it for months now.

Note: Because this is a 'preview' the link may die after a moderate length of time. When (if) I finish is then it will have a proper link.

I realized that I can go to the route markers listed in the left hand side, so the markers are there. I still don't know how to get rid of the default ones. I can't get the flags to show up or labels.

To get the flags to show up you need to turn on the markers.

I think the SanBar markers are showing because we have Kuju US checked in the object list (I need it so I haven't tried unchecking it).

I have used the marker button and I get nothing. I guess my problem is I just don't have the flags. I can locate to the markers, I just cant see them.

So if you fly to the item you selected on the right fly out, you are not seeing a flag underneath you?

Flag.jpg

Check if you have the flag set correctly in your markers BIN:

Code: Select all
   <FlagBlueprint>
    <iBlueprintLibrary-cAbsoluteBlueprintID>
     <BlueprintSetID>
      <iBlueprintLibrary-cBlueprintSetID>
       <Provider d:type="cDeltaString">Kuju</Provider>
       <Product d:type="cDeltaString">RailSimulator</Product>
      </iBlueprintLibrary-cBlueprintSetID>
     </BlueprintSetID>
     <BlueprintID d:type="cDeltaString">RouteMarkers\flag.xml</BlueprintID>
    </iBlueprintLibrary-cAbsoluteBlueprintID>
   </FlagBlueprint>

Yup. RWTools, or drag it over Serz.exe to make a XML.

Yea, I don't see the flags. I have used them before in RW2. But the code looks the same as yours.

Send the BIN to me, and I will take a look.

I think the SanBar markers are showing because we have Kuju US checked in the object list (I need it so I haven't tried unchecking it).

Also try to check, uncheck and again check the markers. Sometimes they don't show up at the first check.
To my knowledge, there are the markers shown in the right flyout from every route that is up to a certain distance away from your route.

The problem here is that he can fly to the location and there is no flag. Fx and I PM'd last night and we couldn't find anything wrong. They simply will not show.

Do you have Kuju/RailSimulator checked in the developer drop down list?
The word?..The word is no. I am, therefore, going anyway..

I thought I did have this pressed, but then I realized I don't have Kuju/Railsimulator as an option.
Maybe that's the problem? How do I get that installed? I look under RWtool "edit providers and it is not selected. Which files do I edit?
