merging track files

Hi all,

So I ran into an issue a couple of days ago... I had just completed a bunch of work on my route and was running a test scenario to check the grades and smoothness of the the transitions. Ended the scenario and went to re-open the route editor. No issues. Saved some more changes and then ran the scenario again. Went to go back into the route editor and Out of Memory error. Game crashes... Had to revert the route back to an older copy of the route from a couple of months ago, not much has changed since then so it only set me back a couple of weeks' worth of work. But I have the latest route backed up with all the changes I have made since. Is there a way I can merge the Tracks File and replace the Tracks.bin file with the latest one and then get the route to load? I have tried it, and it keeps crashing saying there's a Load_Blueprint error. The crash report doesn't help, so I can't see what is actually causing the issue. Has anyone had any success with replacing the Tracks File and corresponding Tracks.bin file so that you have a working route but with all the latest track changes made? It's no biggie if I have to re-lay the trackwork again, I'd just rather not do all the work again.

Thanks!

Ken

If you know where you made the last changes I found that just replacing that track tile , road tile, or loft tile with the old one that worked will often fix the problem. You can find them easily by search by date to see what's changed since the one that worked. Same thing goes for scenery items.
