Changing type of tracks

Unread postby Shortliner » Fri Jun 10, 2011 5:03 pm

Is there a way to change a type of track on a selected piece of route? I laid down some tracks on my route and I want to change it to a Tunnel track, and I'm wondering if there's a way to do that without relaying the track.

Yes. First use the track selection tool in the upper left fly-out and mark out the section you want. Then in the right side fly out you can change the track type from the drop downs.

It doesn't give me a choice to change the track from SR:WBranchline to SR:WTunnel though. :(

I never tried changing to a tunnel. I have changed from Main > Yard > Branch quiet often. I need to give it a try and see whats up.

I can confirm that using SF/SP ScaleRail I am able to select a section of mainline track and convert it over to tunnel.

You can change the track to any other type in your RW install. Be mindful changing TrackRules, however.

I suppose this kind of falls under the bounds of this thread, but when using any track, but especially scalerail (since, quite frankly, it looks the best in my opinion, how can you change the track rule, and I mean that as in, when I select "Yard", I can squeeze out a radius of 150. Is there a way to edit the .bin or whatever it is to allow sharper turns?

Please read:

I was able to edit my BIN and get the curves I wanted (kinda sounds like a commercial...)
